ONE-ON-ONE MUSIC THERAPY SESSIONS
Each session is designed and delivered by a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). The MT-BC creates a treatment program that is highly individualized to meet the healthcare goals of the client. Experiences include evidence-based practices (EBP) that are carefully selected for their therapeutic value and that complement other healthcare modalities, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
We work with Senior Centers to bring Music Therapy in group and individual settings. The key is finding the music that resonates with your aging loved one. We talk to them about their favorite artists or musicians from their past, and start introducing music into their daily routines. We provide test for individuals that help us better understand the group. Music Therapy at Senior Care Centers is a special event especially if it can help improve the overall quality of life of your loved one.
ART, OCCUPATIONAL, MOVEMENT, DANCE & RECREATIONAL
Multi-disciplinary treatment is often indicated for an individual’s music therapy sessions. Renee has education and experience facilitating other types of therapy to compliment and coincide with music therapy in the achievement of goals. These activities are combined with music therapy interventions to meet emotional, physical, social, fine and large motor skill goals. Research has proven the effectiveness of multi-disciplinary therapy to assess and achieve goals for greater functioning and overall improved living experiences.
GROUPS AND INDIVIDUAL MUSIC THERAPY
Improved functioning, problem solving and coping mechanisms, social development, communication and peer interaction are among the many goals of Living Music. Individual and small group sessions are designed and delivered by a trained Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC). The MT-BC creates a treatment program that is highly individualized to meet the healthcare, social, physical and emotional goals for each client. Music Therapy experiences include evidence-based practices (EBP) that are carefully selected for their therapeutic value. These therapeutic interventions complement other healthcare modalities, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
