We begin by developing a trusting relationship in a safe, empathic, comfortable environment. I listen as the client shares issues and concerns.  We discuss how music therapy will address these concerns and needs.

 Assessment takes place from the first time we meet.  Interventions to achieve therapeutic goals are developed based on each individual’s needs, wants and requests.  We work together as a team to bring about the best outcome to achieve your highest goals.

  • We will address scheduling of sessions and consent for treatment along with other paperwork that may be necessary.
  • Most importantly, it is my hope that we get a sense of connection and trust.

Music is a safe way to communicate.  The therapeutic use of music achieves goals in a non-threatening manner.   As Friedrich Nietzsche stated, “Without music, life would be a mistake.”
